One of the interesting complexes around Tikal with a pyramid that is worth visiting. Another stop that you should add to your visit.

We visited in March 2006, but as I was looking through my photos the memory of the Mundo Perdido is as clear as it was 10 years ago. This is one of the (slightly) less focused structure by the tour groups, although Temple IV etc...More

For me this was the best bit of Tikal. I am energy sensitive and this part of Tikal and particularly around the Gran Pyramide has a special energy which is worth basking in for a while, if the bugs let you.

El mundo perdido is one of the most intetesting areas to visit in the whole Tikal reserve area. So much interesting history surrounding all the structures, but you need a guide.

The most impressive things about the Lost World are the two pyramids. You can climb up one, but not the other. There is also an altar where sacrifices (human and animal) took place. If you made it to the Lost World, walk to Temple 4...More

Tikal exemplifies all the adjectives one can muster; awesome, amazing, spectacular; incredible. The park will leave you wondering how the heck did the ancient Mayan civilizations just vanish. There are numerous uncovered temples and plazas that give you just a small glimpse into what was...More

Saw this on a guided tour with a group. There is a nice structure there that is part of the greater Tikal area. Take some time to explore, get a guide, there is a lot learn.
