Did this trek with a guide Quezeltrekkers. Difficult and lots of vertical but worth it when you clear the tree lines and see the stunning valleys below filled with clouds until mid-day.

This is a very hard walk, as you are hiking in the woods for 1200m up and you are supposed to do it pretty fast if you want to get up there to be able to see the santiaguito erupt, before the fog kicks in....More

would have rated 5 stars but had to deduct one cuz its needs to be kept clean. saw plenty of trash on the trails and its so sad to know that people wasting this away. Hope this can still be changed as the hike itself...More

Sadly this volcano is very poorly maintained. There is trash everywhere. There was so much up at the summit that we couldn't even sit without being covered in flys and bees. The hike was also harder than we expected. Make sure you bring enough food...More
