When visiting beautiful Guatemala, you MUST visit Tikal National park!! There's a lot of ruins to visit and take pictures of. The views from the ruins are breath taking. I suggest you take plenty of water, carry a light backpack, wear sunblock and comfortable clothes as well.. It can be hot and humid. Before entering the park, there's a little... More

This place was truly the crowning jewel of our trip. The most beautiful views you could ever imagine. I highly recommend making the trek to Tikal if you have the time.

Loved Tikal, great tour guide, really terrific time. jWe were part of a fairly large group that included young people to us oldsters. The morning started at 4 a.m. dark and cold, but there was a lot of enthusiasm to see the monuments at sunrise. Everything but the sun cooperated. There was a fairly dense mist in the valleys below... More

Jose Luis Morales was our tour guide for Tikal. We did both a sunset and sun raise tour both were amazing this was due in part because of Jose impressive knowledge. HIs knowledge base covered a wide range of information from: the ruins, the architecture ,Mayan culture, the spiritual impact, the horticulture and the jungle environment. I would highly recommend... I can honestly confess I'm embaresed to say that It took me 30 years to finaly visit the treasure I have in my country. It was by far much more than I expected. From moment one, overviewing the magestical piramids was beyond magic. Been there with the love of my life, was amazing. Every single person in the world should... More

Before visiting Tikal we had seen Coba and Tulum Mayan ruins, but Tikal Mayan ruins are something else! The magnitude of the ruins are unbelievable. Of course if you are a Star Wars fan then you would really want to climb up high to see the jungles filmed in Star Wars!

Tikal is the most rich Maya Culture. Is more than Ruina, it is about History, Arquitecture, Rain Forest! Flora, Fauna. You are able to be in the jungle and appreciate wildlife. I recommend: 1) get a Guide, Vini is fabulous.. 2) wear comfortable shoes 3) take 2 Gatorades. 4) use fresh clothing 5) hat, repellent and sun protector. Go light... More

We booked a one-day tour to Tikal from San Ignacio with Elias Cambranes (owner of Katun Ahaw Tours). He is doing the tour by himself. We met him in the morning, it was only the three of us, not more people, and he was driving us to the border of Guatemala with his nice car. There he organized everything to... More
