We had no idea Charles Lindbergh had his first solo flight from here, so it was interesting to stop and see this.

A short drive from Americus is the Lindbergh Monument. Rather underwhelming but if you are into aviation it is a pleasant stop on the way to somewhere else. It is located at the Jimmy Carter Airport, where you will see crop dusters working their jobs...More

On our way to Andersonville we decided to go after a virtual geocache at the local air field which is exactly where this monument is located. Pretty neat place to see.
