Wild Life preservation was important to staff.

Staff gave us a lot of information about the area. Because my son-in-law is a retired Fish & Wildlife officer we had a great time visiting with them.

My wife and I floated the river where we saw and experienced some of the amazing biodiversity here from tropical birds to damsel fly mating and butterfly migrations it was absolutely beautiful! We also hiked to some of the pristine waterfalls where the water is pure enough to drink and SO beautiful!

This is a fantastic park. My family of 4 children aged 11 and 15 spent a great morning in this park. We did the river tubing along the creek. The walk to and from the river with the tubes was quite easy and we saw some wild pigs on the way. We saw lots kingfishers and butterflies as we floated... More

We booked our tour at Nite Wind Tours in Placencia, and we were fortunate to be able to book our trip the following day with Dtourz. They picked us up at 8am, and it was a long day excursion with lunch provided! Costs were $100 per person, which seems pricey, but it was worth it. Our tour guide was excellent.... More

We enjoyed our time at the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Reservation very much. Unfortunately we didn't have much time to spend there as we were just passing by on our way to Belize City. Therefore out of the many trails there we chose the shortest one- 3km to a very refreshing waterfall. There is also a possible of tubing on a... More

I made 2 trips to Cockscomb during my Belize trip. Once to hike and the other to bike the 12km to the base of Victoria peak. I was traveling alone, so I asked for a private guide at the visitor center. They had one for me in 15 minutes and he turned out to be fabulous! The hike was beautiful!... More

We had a self guided forest walk and and swam in a waterfall. It was all lovely and getting there from Hopkins by hired motorbike was worth every penny! We ate a standard 'rice-beans-and -chicken' lunch nearby at the Maya village - in Aurora and Ernesto's.

My husband and I loved this area. We hiked the Tiger Fern Trail to the double waterfall. Saw Coatimundi along the way and some pretty birds. The variety of plants is astounding. Very peaceful trail, we encountered only a few other hikers. The vista at Victoria's Peak is worth the trek in and of itself, but as you continue to... More
