It was very difficult for me to book a solo excursion to Caracol as most tour groups require the minimum of two people. Some tour groups, (whose names I won’t mention were very abrupt and rude in their email communications) But not with MayaWalk tours. Samantha went above and beyond the call of duty to book my tour to Caracol, which... More

Booked the ATM Cave tour out of San Ignacio. The cave itself and the artifacts were incredible, and the overall trip was intense, exciting, and educational. The cave tour was made more impressive by our guide Chico. He was funny, informative, and really cared about both our overall experience and safety, as well as preserving that cultural and natural wonder.... More

We took a day trip to Tikal from San Ignacio and it was a lot of fun. Aaron drove us to the border, where we met Regge and Walter. Regge was a really informative and fun guide, he's very personable and answered all of my questions thoroughly. I would recommend MayaWalk to anyone considering a day trip to Tikal, they... More

First of all, ATM caves are a must-do attraction. The cave itself is a natural wonder; from stalactites and stalagmites to the flowing water and Mayan skeletons, the place is simply amazing. It's unfortunate cameras aren't allowed but the mental images will stay with you for the rest of your life. The great thing about choosing Mayawalk is it's a... More

The most spectacular unusual trip, and well worth it. You must be happy with wading/swimming through water in the dark and clambering over and under rocks. I had never been in a proper cave before and this was exhilarating . Lunch was good and it was all well organised. We took our own car to the caves and met the guide... More

a challenging adventure but worth every effort - even when you're 68 years old. Be sure to have stretch shorts and hiking shoes that you do not mind getting thoroughly wet

RECOMMEND: Yes! Without a doubt. Possibly the BEST tour San Ignacio has to offer... but ATM is not for everyone. TIPS (... things I wish I knew before heading out): 1) There are ONLY 24, authorized/certified guides that are allowed to enter the caves. DO NOT DRIVE/TRAVEL TO ATM WITHOUT A GUIDE. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ENTER THE... More

We used mayawalk to visit the ATM cave, which was a must see for our trip to Belize. The guides were very knowledgeable (ours has been giving tours of the cave for over 20 years)! Everyone at MayaWalk was very friendly and helpful, and they were very easy to book with. I would definitely recommend them for any tour out... More

Charming operation. Great service -- we were picked up at our hotel outside San Ignacio. Our ATM guide, Hugh, was passionate and immersed in the history of Mayan culture and the geology of caves. We learned so much from him and enjoyed every minute. Our trip to Tikal was handled with aplomb. Highly recommend!
