Wonderfully blue water

This park has both hiking trails, a large spring to swim in and a cave system to explore. If you elect to go into the caves and explore it's best to have a guide with you and the proper equipment. I would rate the caving as challenging as there are narrow and steep items places to walk through. I have... More

Best to visit here during the hottest part of the day! It's really cold. Down from the pool you can hear bats inside the cave. Nice soundscape.

The inland Blue Hole is always worth a stop, and if you have time and the day is hot, a quick tip in the cool, blue water this small national park. It's really hard to explain how blue the water is! It's an easy walk down to the shady "swimming hole." The caretakers here are insurance against anything happening to... More

The Blue Hole was okay but not nearly as interesting as the jungle around it. When a 4" metallic blue butterfly flew by at breakneck speed, I was enthralled. I had never seen anything like it. The Blue Hole, seen lots of others like it without the crowds. Make sure to check out the cave at the end of the... More

Blue Hole is another attraction not to be missed. Just a short walk from the parking lot, with dressing rooms and FREE restrooms along the way. A beautiful swimming hole, but when you visit you will also want to visit the St. Herman ' s Cave it costs $10 bze and includes both attractions.

We went right after a hurricane so the water wasn't as blue as normal but still blue. Water was cold. Little bit of a hike down. Was one of our favorite spots. Our resort offer it as one of the tours but we went ourselves and it was amazing and cheap

The Blue Hole is a short trip down from the parking lot. First, we did not take any valuables. We were not certain of leaving items in the car. We were prepared to snorkel and swim. The mosquitoes were bad but once we got to the water it was perfect. Everyone could be as adventurous as they wanted in the... More

I would highly recommend you do both hikes that we did. We parked at the entrance that is nearest to the actual blue hole (a couple miles further on the hummingbird highway from belmopan). We did not actually swim in the blue hole because it looked really brown - this is usually the case in rainy season. But from the... More

Go early since the place is small and can get crowded during high season. We went early in the morning in September and we had the place to our self. I thought because its morning hours I don't need bug spray and boy I was wrong, thank God the maintenance guy had some and gave us.There is more to do... More

Blue Hole National Park was only a 20 minute walk away from where we were staying at (caves branch) so it was super convenient to go here. However, most of the trails were closed when we came here due to the damage from the hurricane, so we got to see the blue hole only. It's not an actual hole, just... More
