For me, an amateur snorkeler (three times), this was a blast. I feel sad for those who cannot get excited by holding a beautiful sea creatures in their environment. Think about it for a minute. Holding a nurse shark and feeling their rough skin, or...More

If you've never been up close and personal with a sting ray or a nurse shark, an excursion to Shark Ray Alley is worth experiencing. I'm not sure it's best for the animals, but it is fascinating to see these creatures up close. One problem:...More

As with nature, things can change. The guides said because of the wind that many of the sharks were not there. Essentially, we stopped our boat (about 5 or 6 other boats were there already), the guides threw food in the water, about 10 rays...More

When we went it wasn't too crowdy with tourists, so we were able to calmly swim with the plethera of nurse sharks and stingray...harmless and very gentle creatures.

Being able to see (and "hold" if you prefer) sharks is amazing! I recommend purchasing an underwater camera if you visit Shark Ray Alley! If possible, try and book a trip with Alphonse. He was excellent! He has the best strategies for attracting the sharks...More

Good trip for kids and anyone wanting to safely see sharks and string rays. Some of the boats feed the sharks and rays, so this can be quite a site

The water is so clear and the sharks and rays are everywhere. Just a short boat ride from San Pedro, it is a once in a lifetime snorkeling experience. I have snorkeled this area several times, but also took a glass bottom boat ride with...More

Swim with rays and nurse sharks. Reach out and touch them. Explore the coral and the other marine life.

Along with Hol Chan Marine Reserve, two of my favorite places to snorkel. We just came back from St Thomas and the snorkeling does NOT compare to Belize!

Anyone with a boat could take you there, but probably easier just to go on a trip. People who own boats are probably tour operators anyway... Some of the operators feed the sharks too so they are more likely to come to the... More

You’re in deep water but the guide we had, had a life ring that you could hold onto. It allowed you to snorkel a little but have the security of the life ring near you.
