This part of the Greenway is such a gem. Whether you are walking or bike riding, it is a calm, peaceful place for exercising and communing with nature.

My wife and I were traveling through Alpharetta and visited this community park on Sunday. This park is located along Big Creek Greenway at Kimball Bridge Road. We enjoyed walking the paved mostly shaded multi-purpose trail which is a part of the Alpharetta Greenway. Both dog friendly (must be on a leash), and bike friendly.
Park amenities include:
1-Zagster bike share available
2-Outdoor classroom
3-A small group pavilion with picnic tables (complete with a piano) is available on a first come, first serve basis
4-Restrooms with water fountain
5-Benches for resting along the trail
6- Environmentally friendly
If you love a peaceful relaxing natural environment then this park is for you. A beautiful oasis to get away from the hustle and bustle without making a long drive. The park is clean and well maintained. Family friendly; open daily; plenty of parking.

A very nice park with a unique gazebo (a heptagon!). There are restrooms, water fountains, bike rentals and a bike repair station (tools and a pump).
Rock Mill Park also offers excellent access to the Big Creek Greenway or you can just walk around the trails near the park.

This is the center location on the Alpharetta Greenway. It has plenty of parking, bathrooms, bike rental station, bike repair station, picnic tables, two covered pavilions, two ponds, and a simple loop trail for an easy walk of maybe 1/2 mile with a high probability of seeing deer. Follow the trail out of the backside of the gravel parking area and keep right at any intersection and the path will bring you back to the park before the Kimball Bridge Road underpass. Very simple and easy and flat. This is a great place to go if you need a private space to decompress or have a serious conversation. The beauty of the grounds and surrounding woodlands make for a calming, peaceful environment. Would be a great place to meditate or do yoga. There are benches on the walking loop so you can sit in different places and just vegetate if you need to. Nice place to bring visitors if you want to get them out of the house for awhile and into the fresh air. BUT, if there's no breeze, you may want to bring bug spray. Also, DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES visible in your car unless you stay within viewing distance. Its rare to get a break in but it DOES happen. Be smart. Oh, and if you bring a dog, please pick up after it.

Love the Greenway and the Rock Mill Park. Have spent hours on the Greenway over the years and this little park's location is ideal, the bathrooms super clean, area very nice and safe and cute little gardens are adorable. Heavy rains can affect walking here as they do many places on the Greenway, but the parks and rec people are always good about posting signs. As always when exercising, don't leave purses in your car or exercise alone but consider this one of the safer places to enjoy your workout in the area!

The further I walked along the path the more distant the traffic noise became. Eventually I couldn't hear it at all but the path is so nice I really didn't mind the traffic. Great paths but I wish there were signs saying 'You are here' and showing the different routes, where they go and how long they are. The only sign was at the Park, none along the way.

This is a well kept and nicely landscaped park that also has more natural areas that are good for hikers and cyclers alike. Lots of different activities and clean restrooms in this well kept park. A great place to relax while being outside.
