The statue in honor of Ray as well as of precious is very well done. Surreal is the background music that comes from the speakers around the statue. The small contour with simulated piano keys is really cute and suggestive. It could be a good...More

I love Ray Charles and when you go and visit Ray Charles Plaza you hear his music being blasted out of the surrounding speakers. It is located in downtown Albany quite close to the aquarium.

The Ray Charles statue is cool. But the dude was just born here and left. I Guess he is the only artist Albany could agree on. Here is what you do. On a nice Spring day or Fall day go solo or with friends and...More

Small but nice and relaxing. They play his music on a loop. It is right by the Veterans Park. Nice places to sit and relax.

If in Albany, the Ray Charles Memorial is not to be missed. Full size statue with piano on a very very slowly rotating base with multiple speakers softly playing Ray Charles classics. Flint river park in the background. Great Memorial!!

Not a lot to see in Albany so worth a visit. The plaza is within a larger park that is popular with locals. Not particularly a fan but he is a legend and they play his music by the monument
