I saw the dotted lines on Google maps and discovered this ferry. It’s always fun to ride on a ferry! We were headed to Little Talbot State Park and this was a short cut from where we were. One unique thing was the pelicans everywhere....More

WE have used this ferry on several occasions and it is well worth the fare, just for the experience. For me it recalls many childhood memories of ferry rides, which were exciting for me.

We waited in line just long enough to get out and read the historical marker, then had a short ride across the River to Ft George Island, where the Kingsley Plantation is. The views were great and the sea birds kept us company. Well worth...More

This is a great little scenic spot. Short trip, but beautiful. My family really enjoyed it, we would do it again.

Sometimes it is nice to just slow down and watch the world go by. Take the St. Johns Ferry at least once to enjoy the sights and sounds of the river. Ferry runs on time and the cost was $6 each way for our car....More

The ferry is loads of fun, especially for kids. It cuts off 17 miles of detouring to I295 and back if you're traveling the coast north or south on A1A. It's only a few minute ride but well worth the $6/car. You can easily monitor...More

Going across the river on the ferry was a treat. As you queue up, they load the ship by lane number, so fill in the end of the line at row 1 and 2 before going to line 3 or 4. They collect money once...More

If you are traveling A1A north or south save yourself the hassle of going to I95 and take the Ferry. It is a short ride across and is inexpensive.

We took a little ride and then the ferry from Jacksonville. It lasts about 5 or 6 minutes but is just fun. We then drove through Amelia Island and back. Fare is $6.00 each way.

We often take friends on the ferry, as an activity. The grandchildren love the ride. The staff is friendly, and helpful.
