The manatee viewing center is an amazing wildlife viewing area. My fiancé and I live up the street and go often because there is so much to do! The last time we were there followed a couple of very cold nights so there were tons...More

Easy parking and access. Nice little information and nature center, observation reached through a nature trail, (decking and shell pathways), information center was filled with manatee information. Huge tarpon on easily seen from the viewing area, and we did see a manatee at a distance...More

The viewing center is very well put together and very educational. The best time to go is when the water is colder so the Manatees are more likely to congregate around the warmer power plant discharge.

Based across the water from a power station, this viewing centre relies totally on the water being cold out in the ocean so that the manatees swim up the estuary to the discharge pump from the power station which pumps warm water into the estuary....More

Went there to see the Manatees and saw manatees, sharks, catfish and Stingrays. The neatest thing there is their Stingray tank where you can "PET" and touch them in their tank. They will swim up to you and let you touch and pet them. ALL...More

Our family loves manatees but most of our interaction with manatees has been in aquarium type settings. We heard about the TECO manatee viewing facility from others who have visited there over the years. The number of manatees that you actually see depends on a...More

There weren’t very many manatees when we were there and none came close to the observation area but we enjoyed the other wildlife that was present and the Ray exhibit and the educational display for the manatee. We arrived mid-late morning on a Sunday morning...More

Great place to take kids and those young at heart. Catching a glimpse of the manatees can be a hit and miss affair. It was cool day when we visited. So the sightings were rare. When we did see the sea cows only their noses...More
