This beautiful antebellum house has a very interesting history and it’s well preserved and furnished. After visiting on two occasions, I withheld a stat because I found the docent to be not well versed or helpful. On one occasion I believe she had been drinking,...More

It's too bad there isn't more funding for places like this. Raney House is neat, but there isn't a whole lot to see, especially when compared to Orman House. But I do love history, and especially old houses, so I wasn't about to miss it....More

Beautiful old house with history located right on Market St. There is no admission charge though they do have a donation jar. It’s only open in the afternoon. It’s certainly worth your time to pay it a visit.

It cost 2 dollars to see the house but well worth it. The lady that does the tour is very knowledgeable about the Raineys and local history. It takes about 30 to 45 minutes to see the house.

We stumbled into the Raney house while on the Apalachicola Historic homes tour, and were blessed to be there when there were 2 docents available!! While there is not much to this, it is quaint, warm, and a throw back to a century gone by....More

A wonderful hour spent here. Historic home and the family history is interesting. There is no admission charge, but a donation box is available, and in my mind well worth a donation! Another "don't miss" in this town.

Stan, My mother Sara is the docent at the Raney House Museum on Saturdays. She asked me to convey a warm welcome to you and say that she hopes to see you on the 28th at the Raney House. Hours are 10am to 4pm.
