Lake Lotus hiking and viewing of waterfowl.

Parked in the parking area, hiked the roads on tops of the berms that impound the water. Viewed a lot of waterfowl and some alligators.

The park consist of a man-made nature trail that extends barely over a mile in length and offers little nature to be seen, but is complimentary in the fact that is does offer a child's play area and transportation to and from the parking lot.

Getting back to nature by visiting. We were able to enjoy the peace and quite of a true Florida outdoors. Saw lots of different birds and plants. Can't wait for cooler weather so we can visit again with the Grandkids.

It's a nice little park. We like to go when they have their farmer's market and when they have art shows.

This hidden gem of a nature park is right in the northern suburbs of Orlando. There is a mile long boardwalk that takes you through wetlands, forest and finally along the lake. The boardwalk even has a 30 foot fishing spot, as well as an enclosed room out over the water where you can view the various wildlife & fish.

Its a place not far from the city and yet while there you feel so lost in the woods with a country side feel. Its good as a get away to come together with nature. Relaxing place.

My family lived near Lake Lotus and were frequent visitors. While it was not always open when we wanted to go (only open Thursday-Sunday), we were always happy with our visits. The rangers are helpful, knowledgeable and go out of their way to make kids want to learn about nature. One ranger even brought a baby alligator over for the... More
