We were spending a week in Aspen and went to the Bells twice. The first time it was snowing a little and we gave it a shot. Unfortunately it was snowing harder up the valley and while the drive was beautiful, we didn't get to see the Bells through the clouds. The second time up, it was overcast, but there... More

It is one of the must visit attractions for nature lovers in colorado. Though it is far from Fort Collins, whenever I have been here, this place always made me more closer to nature and serenity. It looks stunningly gorgeous during fall colors (August-September).

Just the most incredible place on Earth. Take the bus up (complete with tour guide-style narration) and enjoy the silence.

Beautiful place. We'd been to Maroon Bells before by accident and loved it. Before you go try to find out if the road is open or not or you will have wasted your time. This was our second time to visit only to find the the road closed to traffic. We were very disappointed since we live in TX and... More

We walked up past Maroon Lake up to Crater Lake. Outstanding hike in the snow. Beautiful and obviously picturesque. Can't wait to go back and camp! $10 to drive in.

A sight you must not miss. One of the most beautiful part of the the Rocky Mountains. I love it the best in the winter, sitting high above the other peaks.

We stayed in Aspen the night before, got up in the morning and went to the Bells. BTW where we stayed in Aspen was very reasonable and the staff were great and real accommodating but that is a different review. If hiking and beautiful surroundings is your thing (mine is photography) this place is for you. If within a hundred... More

I spent a summer leading guided tours in Aspen Colorado and the Maroon Bells spot is just simply one of the most beautiful places on earth. Two 14 thousand foot peaks sit side by side above a series of glaciated lakes. An Aspen grove stretches out in front of you forever. In the fall, that same grove all turns the... More

Maroon Bells is one of the many wonderfully beautiful places that you can get to and see in Colorado. Fortunately it is one of the ones that has easy access. We road the bus and it was easy and convenient.

We did this hike and then continued going up. We came in the winter and were told it was more beautiful in the summer it is hard to believe but true! We found some waterfalls along this hike. Highly recommend!
