We headed out there for a walk and it was really nice. Quiet, birds, easy walking... fresh air and distant views of mountains.

Flat, lovely scenery, wildlife; we had a great 2 mile walk with the dogs here. I don't think we saw another human on the entire walk.

Very nice walk along the river. Not much shade, so I would recommend a morning visit. My dog really enjoyed sniffing - clearly wildlife had visited the river to drink or sleep in the grass and he checked those spots thoroughly. The birdsongs were wonderful.

We ate lunch at the Bluff overlook and the views were wonderful. The staff at the visitor's center was very helpful. The walk along the Rio Grande river is not shaded at all.
