What a wonderful couple of hours spent taking the tour of the lighthouse! Having gathered in the assigned parking lot, we were taken up the windy track/road via motorised trolley car to the beautiful Lighthouse. A guided tour with Mike, into all rooms and the...More

A fun and educational tour of the lighthouse. The story of Lucy and Sonny, the children who lived in the lighthouse, made this tour really personal and fun. Took a picture in the children's swing outside on the huge tree overlooking the ocean.

We had an outstanding Docent who toured us through the home of the Lighthouse Keeper. The restoration is a wonder and the early history of the lighthouse makes it more than worth the $20 fee. No need to worry about parking as there is a...More

This was a working lighthouse 50 years ago, manned with a small crew of Coast Guard workers, and while automation has made a crew basically superfluous today, the lighthouse continues to function automatically with modern equipment. Itis definitely worth a visit, if for nothing else,...More

Beautiful lighthouse, the best part may be the ride up to the place. The grounds and buildings are very nicely restored.

I have been to the lighthouse a number of times. I have hiked up and taken the trolley-bus. It's a challenging walk but very enjoyable. I am 80 years old and found the hike very doable. The docents make it especially fun and provide you...More

I recommend the ladies wear slacks/jeans if you would like to climb to the top of the lighthouse. It is a narrow, adventurous staircase to the top. Worth it!
