Whilst we got on first time, its slow so probably shouldn't be seen as a quicker way of getting to your destination, but it might help tired feet and if you pitch up at Main Street whilst the parade is going on you might find it quicker to jump on the train to another stop rather than waiting for the parade to end and fighting through the crowds.

There's a pretty random old section from Tomorrowland to Main Street where you go through a Grand Canyon scene then a Dinosaur scene with decades old figures and decor.

The most classic ride in the park, it is good to go all the way round and then go to the stop you want to get off at, it saves walking all the way to the back of the park to then wander back as you go round the park
It creates a nice breeze as you travel round, which is good in the heat and it gives your weary legs a rest and you get to see parts of the park that you can only see from the train
As an adult you probably will appreciate this more than the kids, who are more interested in the rides and characters, but I would definitely recommend it

Whenever we are in Disneyland, we always look out for the Lilly Belle train. As it is always put away in any kind of bad weather, we hadn't seen it often. We have ridden the train many times, but have only had a chance to tour the Lilly Belle once. Wonderful ride, regardless if you get on the Lilly Belle, especially if you are tired from walking around Disneyland!

Great ride for reasons I can only appreciate as an adult and never appreciated as a kid. I remember as a kid going on this ride as we only had "A" tickets left (go ask someone how that system worked - a looooong time ago). It is a great way to get from Main Street to Frontierland to Tomorrowland and back to the front. In the meantime, you get a place to sit and you get to see some animatronics between lands. I know it seems odd to rate this 5 stars, but just wait until you have been walking for 8 hours and you see the train pulling in nearby...

The train stops in four places- The Main station at the entrance, New Orleans Square, Toonville, and Tomorrowland. You seldom need to wait more than one train as people are always getting on and off. KIds always love trains and grow-ups love that it offers a break for tired feet. Can be a great way to get from one end of the park to the other. Best part is between tomorrowland and the main station as you enter diorama's of the Grand Canyon and the Dinosaurs.

We visited one side of the park the first day and the star wars and Marvels area and then to eat at downtown. Catch the train to relieve the stress of the day running from ride to ride.

Our visit at Disneyland was Fantastic. I had broke toes and had to use a ECV. The railroad needs a Larger flat car with no seats or seats at the end . You CAN get in it, but only 2 chairs can go at a time and there is NO room to maneuver the chair. Tight fit which holds up the train during exiting and entering. If it was larger just for chairs, there would be NO problem. The ride its self is great.

The train stops at 4 points in the park. It doesn't matter where you get on but I highly recommend you do at least one lap (and if you don't have time just the area from Tomorrowland to the Main Entrance. You'll go through a tunnel with Dinosaurs and other interesting things. Make sure you're sitting on the RIGHT hand side of the train to get the best views.

The rest of the ride is okay, but this section is definitely the best..

We like to ride the railroad to get an overview of the park without having to walk the whole property. It's not that we're lazy (but sitting down for the ride is nice) it's more that quickly seeing the whole park is very nice. We would definitely recommend the railroad to anyone visiting the park.

I love riding the train around the park. It's very peaceful and relaxing. A way to get off your feet for awhile and enjoy unique views of the Disneyland Park.
