We like to think of this island as a way to escape the hustle and bustle of the park. It can get busy on the island, but it's a lot bigger than you would think. Our children love exploring it like they too are pirates stranded on an island in search for buried treasure. The island is filled with cave-like tunnels, hanging bridges, and other fun features. It's like a big obstacle course. Taking the ferry to and from the island is pretty fast and holds a lot of people, so even if there is a line, its not long before you get on.

First and foremost, to me it will ALWAYS be just Tom Sawyer Island.

This is a great place to escape from the hustle and bustle that is Disneyland while at Disneyland. For such a small place, there's lots to discover. There's caves with hidden treasure, trails to follow, and places just to relax. It truly is a great place to just escape. There are no concession stands, just restrooms. Again, just a great place to explore, or just to enjoy a corn dog or two...

We have been to Disneyland on their busier days, and Tom Sawer's Island is a nice escape from the encroaching crowds. Fewer people seem to find their way to this island surrounded by the Rivers of America. On quieter days in the park, you may find you are the only guest on the island. There are things to see and do here for "kids" of all ages.

I do. I remember how scary this place was before they put the Pirates stuff in. My mind conjured up much more terror than the movie ever could. I love this place anyway. It is not aways as busy as the rest of the Park, and the interactive stuff is great. The cast keep the place squeaky clean, and I love them for the almost impossible task they have to tackle everyday!!

Easy to read maps ensure you walk is free of surprises. Check out Dead Man's Grotto, a scenic view from atop the hideout of Tom and Huck's Tree House, then across a rope bridge and uncover hidden secrets in Smuggler's Cove.

I loved the Pirate movies and I love the attractions added as the Island and Disney changed. A nice break, as you can actually find time alone occasionally here.
