I always enjoy my visits there. I love that they keep then history alive. I like that I can donate my special glassware and know it will be taken care of. Friendly and clean. Worth the visit

This local museum has the right amount of history to keep you interested. It isn't 't very big but several rooms filled with items and pictures from the start of the city of Alameda. It is located by downtown Alameda.

The place calls itself a museum but is run like a cheap Thrift Shop. The "art" can range from some good things once in a while but mostly features Sunday painters and some horrible images that would look like they came from the visually disabled....More

Yes! It small (like our island) but well organized, full of delightful memorabilia and displays, and staffed by knowledgeable volunteers. Well worth a visit if you are a visitor or a local.

I stop in whenever in town, stoked w/ historical items such as a bicycle built for 5, a replica of an early 1900's dental office & some well priced antiques. Never know what you will find.

This place is a great source for vintage tsotchkes to decorate your Victorian. It's got a little bit of victorian stuff in the back, the one cool thing is their depiction of how a kitchen looked back in the 19th century. My kids really enjoyed...More

Alameda museum is a fantastic little museum. It's a place where you can find a huge collection of Alameda artifacts all collected up in one place. This little museum does what the Internet usually doesn't: it puts all the pictures and artifacts into context. Nearly...More
