We really enjoyed checking out all the displays and trying to guess the 'name' of each one as well walked towards them. Since my son was on crutches we only did the outside path and opted to not visit indoors as he was worn out...More

A very attractive small university museum- some pieces from permanent collection out and then usually a traveling show. From time to time they show American self taught art- so strong in the south. I remember a memorable Howard Finster show here several, years back. Worth a...More

The museum building and grounds are lovely - well laid out, beautiful views and gardens. The museum itself is a bit short on art - there's really not much hanging or standing artwork at all - there is plenty of space. Several entire rooms were...More

This is a fun little museum. There's no entrance fee. They have a fun summer art program for kids. There's also a cafe.

The chandelier made my heart sing, and recently I saw a couple of more by the same artist in Colorado Springs. I enjoyed all the art, but the sculpture made of shoes comes into my mind all the time. Crazy

Good luck visiting this place. We have tried to get in twice and haven't gotten past the doors yet. They advertise their hours of operation but don't abide by them. We made a special trip this last time, May 14th, and they were supposed to...More

The JCSM is a great spot to stop, relax, visit with friends and enjoy the art exhibits. The exhibit will typically take about 30 minutes to tour. We have especially enjoyed several evenings at the museum during the summer when they have a Thursday evening...More
