We visited this museum and the Natural History museum on the same day. This is primarily a museum for men! The guns, mortars, and other weaponry get your adrenaline going, but the Asian collection appears to be little more than an afterthought. If I may humbly suggest: 1. Make it an all weaponry/war-related museum. 2. Upgrade the presentation quality to... More

The collection was started by a couple who both worked for US intelligence. They traveled extensively and collected art objects and small arms from around the world. There is a large number of bronzes by many artists, including Remington and Russell. Small arms included guns from the matchlock era through flintlock, percussion, and modern guns. The group we were with... More

There is alot of history to see here, and its right next door to the Anniston Museum of Natural History, so make a day if it and see natural history and mans legacy/impact on the world at both museums.

This was an outstanding museum. Well worth the trip. Very broad display of artifacts, particularly weaponry. Amazing such a collection exists in the area. Allow about two hours to see everything and have a chance to read enough about what is on display to get an appreciation for the scope of the collection.

I have never seen such a thorough collection of firearms. I am still in awe over what I have seen there. This collection is of the highest quality. I have never been to the Smithsonian but I would venture to guess that they don't have as complete a collection of guns. Extremely impressed. You can purchase your ticket for this... More

Unbelieveable collection, going back centuries. Weapons, Chinese ceramics, and contemporary exhibits highlighting moments in history. Especially good for young people to learn about history.

Come in and go back in time! Museum is clean and spacious. The displays are quite interesting. Give yourself plenty of time to look, listen and learn. Accessible to travelers off I-20 or Hwy. 431. Hours are convenient and there are plenty of activities to keep your mind and bodies busy!
