We make an annual trip over the Range on Memorial day weekend, just after the road is opened. We like to see the snow pack along side the road to see how much snow there is. It can be snowy or rainy, so always carry a coat. Bring a camera.

Becky and Aaron own this ski area, with a large restaurant and deck overlooking the lifts and a pretty lake. We made plans from afar, wondering whether everything we wanted would in fact come about! We hosted about 100 people, and everything was perfect! Becky offered advice on menus, appetizers, beer and wines, and we were able to return an... More

The road offers beautiful views to the Snowy Range. Take the time to stop and do the 9 mile loop hike. The hiking is moderate- make sure you're in good health and have plenty of water. Also take it slow if you're not used to the altitude. Pack a bag with a lunch, water, and rain gear. The weather is... More

On our way to Rock Springs, Wy from Colorado Springs, Co and wanted to stay off interstates as much as possible. I was really excited to discover this road (hwy 130 W out of Laramie) on Google Maps and after running through the 3D map on Google, it was a must and only added 45 minutes to the trip. What... If you're ever looking for a place to snowmobile, the Snowy Range would be my top pick. Wyoming takes great pride in catering to snowmobilers. The trail maps are accurate and easy to read. The trails accommodate both the novice and experienced sledder.
