We took the self guided car tour and followed along on the different areas that the brochure discussed. The highlight was the observatory which is right across from the visitor center. There were many birds to be seen with my favorite being the pelicans. So many of them in one place. Best to take binoculars. The visitor center is small... More

Wetlands, the dikes that create them, and rolling prairies create a perfect habitat for resting and feeding areas for waterfowl.
