Old Stone House is one of the oldest remaining houses in the District, and is interesting for that reason alone. It's intriguingly preserved right on M Street in the heart of heavily-developed Georgetown. At three stories, it's larger than it looks from the outside, but...More

The oldest house in DC. Not a lot to see, but worth it just to feel some of the atmosphere & see the garden. They apparently ploughed up a parking lot to lay out the 'English' garden. It's not very English, but a pleasant oasis...More

Strolled through Georgetown with my son and daughter and we all were surprised why this building stood the way it did in the middle of Georgetown. The oldest home in DC had character and cozy feel that almost took me back to late 1700s ;)

Sadly we came after closing but was able to take pictures, read the sign and look at the small gardens behind it. Would love to go back when open.

Stopped in to see the oldest structure still standing in the DC area. There's no fee for touring the house and there's some interesting artifacts from that era. The house is relatively small and you can see most of it within about 10min depending on...More

Tucked in between stores and restaurants in Georgetown, this historic house is fun to tour. Make sure you check out the gardens. The gift shop is fun & funky. I bought some owl cards. One thing I have to say - the woman working here...More

As many things in Washington… it is a nice tour back in time when you visit this house. It is located in Georgetown and doesn't take long to walk through.

Georgetown presents you with good street walk, nice old homes, brick buildings, nice eating places, nice views of the river side and The Old State House. Built in 1765, this is the oldest unchanged building in Washington DC. Inside you can easily be taken back...More
