The atrium of this museum is one of the best kept secrets of DC. Really gorgeous architecture. I would routinely bring visitors here.

Totally recommend visiting if you are looking for American art you will find 19th, 20th century as well as modern art. They also have crafts, sculpture and photography.

My husband and I spent 4 hours here and could have easily spent the whole day! So much history to see! We especially loved the area on coins and money and the advancement of transportation through the centuries. Well done Smithsonian!
