This is an amazing memorial! It's hard to put into words how amazing all the memorials on the national mall are, but this was one of my favorites. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful and quite an emotional memorial for the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives fighting evil during WWII. We took a moment while standing in the middle of the monument as we were overwhelmed by emotions.

We visited the memorial on day when musical tribute was being paid and off bound to visitors. It has nicely dictated and beautifully built with surrounding green areas. Must visit early in morning in summer.

We were moved by the beauty of the design. What a lovely tribute to the Greatest Generation. This was a memorable memorial and filled with reverence and love.

The monument is quite grand with water and massive sculptures representing the states who participated and so on. It's a lovely spot to rest, watching kids play in the water.

Unfortunately the pool was drained when wee were there, otherwise I'd of given it the highest rating. It is a large memorial great scenery around. Definitely something you should see while in DC.

Not sure if it was the time of year we visited or what, but this place was LOADED with mosquitos. Very unfortunate because this is an absolutely beautiful Memorial. Put some bug spray on before you go.

What a superb monument to those who served in WW2. Really well designed. We took time to reflect about the sacrifice so many made all of those years ago.

For some reason the fountains/water feature is turned off and that makes a real, difference especially at night. We had visited before and were disappointed.

The "Washington DC National Mall, Monuments and Memorials Walking Guide (Washington DC City Walking Guide Series) Kindle Edition" is a decent download for just $3.99. You may want to give it a try.
