This is one of my most favorite place to visit on the mall. Very nicely build. Water and fountains are great. Great view of lincoln memorial and washington monument from here. Also it feels so good to put feet in the water specially when its hot outside.

My family walked the path around all the monuments and memorials, and this was special. Take plenty of water with you as you walk around! It was really hot when were there. The kids enjoyed finding their state, and it was a great opportunity to teach kids our history. Wear good walking shoes!

I have visited the WWII Memorial several times and have enjoyed it. My most recent visit, however, was with a large group of WWII veterans. Their reactions to the Memorial were very powerful and made me appreciate this Memorial even more than I had before. The layout of the Memorial honors both theaters of war and every American state and... More

Of course having ancestors to honor is a draw it must be said that any student of monument design will be awed by this new addition to the Mall. Worth every accolade it has received and yes is a fitting honor to those who served in WWIi from all states

One of Washington's most beautiful memorials. If you have loved ones who fought in this war or just have an interest in/appreciation for this war you will not want to miss this memorial.

While not the most popular monument to war, there is a nice pool you could take off your shoes and dip your feet in. Also, tracking down your state among the pillars is fun.

We took a night tour, and this memorial is gorgeous and moving at dusk. Other iconic memorials are in sight, which adds greatly to the experience.

A must see memorial to see while in DC. Beautifully laid out. Also gives great views of the Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial.

This was a quite, peaceful monument to honor WW2 veterans. Unfortunately, visitors sometimes seem to forget that. It clearly states to stay out of the wading pools, but people were still getting in the water. Kids were also throwing trash over the monument. It would be a good idea to get a ranger to monitor the monument so that people... More
