While we were there we got a real treat. We found a ceremony going on, honoring 85 WWII vets from Chicago. We found out that there are ceremonies like this frequently. True Heroes & the Honor Flight people. Just a really nice memorial for the men & women that served, to make us free. Thanks again for your service. 🇺🇸

It is truly a beautiful and moving tribute. Kind of interesting to look through all of the states. Would recommend for all age groups.

A very impressive memorial of the European and Pacific Theaters of War in WWII. The memorials to the states and armed services circle a reflecting pool and fountain.

The scope of this memorial matches the scope of the conflict in so many ways-the monuments for the states and territories-the division of the Atlantic and Pacific theatres-recognition of the Allies and the role of women. A magnificent tribute to ordinary people accomplishing extraordinary results.

This memorial had so many great quotes from many great people. Very inspirational. Best time to visit is early in the day.

A thought provoking memorial. The way it is organized with the battles per country/ocean, and the quotes from key leaders of that area provides the fuel to want to learn more about this era. A wonderful monument to the greatest generation that helped restore world peace. The wall of gold stars provokes true feeling for those who made the greatest... More
