This tour from the Smithsonian was a wonderful experience. My husband was a little nervous about doing it, since we had seen other segway tours riding down the middle of Pennslyvania Avenue. He was not very excited about that prospect. However, this tour was totally on the mall and although we had to cross some busy streets, we were always... More

I have been to Washington several times before, however wanted to try out the Segway tour after reading so much about it. This one is run by the Smithsonian Institute and the manufacturer of the Segway machine. All the tour guides are certified which makes issues difference compared to other privately run tours... And perhaps the best thing is that... More

Had an awesome tour from Lee that was informational for me despite my status as a local history teacher. While I wasn't super comfortable on the segway at first, Lee held a demo session on the side of the American History Smithsonian as a warm up. We took the night tour, which was really cool! Also, did you know that... More

We have never ridden a Segway, it was incredible! My husband and I really enjoyed it. I was a little hesitant at first, scared I will fall or run over someone. Driving it is very easy, and Dan, our instructor was excellent in providing the instruction and confidence necessary for riding this thing. We also learned a lot, the information... More

This was my first time ever on a Segway and after receiving instruction and training, it was easy beyond my expectations! The Smithsonian Tours by Segway is the only one operated by the Segway company so they naturally have the best equipment and knowledge. This was a great experience and a wonderful and different way for me to experience a... More

It was an amazing experience. Our guide Rick was very knowledgeable, and a very cool and fun guy. We laughed, he was extremely helpful and very patient with all of us and also accommodating when some people needed to finish earlier to catch their plane. Tour was really 3h plus 30 min to learn how to operate segway. No cutting... More

Our guide, Dan, trained us in how to operate a Segway, reviewed safety info, and let us practice until we were comfortable. Then we were off like ducklings after their mother (if ducks could zip and weave), with Dan providing entertaining and informative tidbits about the sites. It was interesting and educational, but mostly, it was just plain fun. All... More

Chris and I had a great time. Rick was a wonderful guide. He knew which sites to take us to and knew the background behind each. He made our Segway tour a special event for me and my friend. Thank you Rick Tyson Erika and Chris

Our group of 4 had a blast doing this tour on Nov 5. Rick was an outstanding guide, the small size of group was great, headphones enabled us to hear everything he said. No other way you could see all the important sites in DC in only 3 hrs. Plus it was fun to ride the Segways.

I have traveled 30 countries in over 20 years and this is simply the best tour I have ever taken. Dan was better than my Ivy league history professors.
