There are several ponds with different species of waterlilies, turtles, and frogs. The surrounding neighborhood isn't the nicest, but the garden itself was beautiful. I would come here if you want to get outside for an hour or so, but not worry about the hustle...More

We ventured out early Memorial Day to find a beautiful quiet natural wonder on the edge of DC. No crowds, easy parking and beautiful aquatic gardens of water lily ponds, meandering trails, and boardwalks.

National park and fantastic place to get away from it all! Grassy paths surrounded by small ponds filled with lotus flowers, frogs, and other exotic plant life. Also boardwalks and marshes and some great birding. Mother Nature's secret in an urban center.
