We booked a tour for up to 6, but we were the only takers on a Monday morning, so it became a delightful private tour. Our guide is a PhD in art history, which is not in usual for the National Gallery. Her knowledge, visual aids, and easy manner made it easy to understand and enjoy. The collection in the... More

Brought the history of the Mall and the founding of this nation to life in a way I had never before experienced. Guide was tops.

We had a fabulous tour of the National Gallery with our docent Abram. He took us on a wonderful trip through the gallery from the earliest works right through to the most recent explaining the different artistic styles as we went. Fantastic!

An excellent experience - despite the freezing weather. Sue was able to add a huge amount of value and our teenage children, who are fascinated by American politics, loved it too.

On a freezing January morning, Jacqueline kept my 16 year old son and myself engaged and interested for a three hour walk in Washington. We even got a fantastic tip for a place to eat lunch. Really recommend the tours.

If you're visiting DC, you're here for the history, the memorials and the art. Unfortunately, many of us have huge gaping holes in our educational backgrounds... a common problem. We don't have the time to address all the subjects we should. The interest, curiosity, the willingness to learn is there. We just need a little help. That is where the... More

We've used Context in other cities but never with our children. We booked the private family tour of the mall with Katie as a kickoff for our trip to DC, and she was absolutely fantastic! Our children are 9 & 11, and Katie kept them engaged and interested the entire time while gearing them up for the rest of our... More

We love Context Travel for the other tours we have taken, but tonight was beyond our expectations. Great tour guide - totally prepared, enthusiastic, knowledgable well beyond the direct subject, which was the Mall. We learned SO much. Really great value. Thank you JB, and Context!

Gov Works, a Politics Primer with Tom Diemer was great (despite the hot weather and long walk up Pennsylvania Avenue). My wife and I use Context Travel wherever/whenever we can. Always worth it. This was an especially interesting tour, as we had my brother-in-law from the UK with us. On the 4th we went to the incredible fireworks on the... More

Our tour last night with Context Tours was one of the best tours I have ever been on. We have used Context Tours in Paris, Barcelona and now Washington, DC - they never disappoint. I cannot say enough good things about them. We had friends and family visiting and it was this tour was the highlight of their trip. Our... More
