Both the art and the architecture make this a must-see when you are in Washington. The downside is the parking, but it is still worth a visit.

Large and imposing on a Hill, this beautiful church has 70 different mosaic chapels to the Blessed Mother. Spacious and welcoming with large gift shop and cafeteria for visitors. Mass celebrated daily.

Yes it is!!! I did it myself to get there. It is also beautiful because you need to enter the Catholic university to get there. It is a short walk really. I recommend it.
