Well Known University. Campus was nice.

We were invited by our hosts to an award ceremony here that was part of an educational summit. The campus is nice.

We were in Georgetown for the day and decided to check out The University by foot. Campus is gorgeous and fun to walk around. Interesting architecture and makes me want to go back to college again :) Highly recommend if you are nearby.

Visited last week. Campus is on a hill in Georgetown, over looking the canal and the Potomac. Tucked in or next to the beautiful Georgetown neighborhood of DC. Only bout 2 miles from downtown DC and attractions. Attractive campus with nice, modern cafeteria and student center. Newer freshman dorms are clean and spacious as well.

Given that we were in the area and my son will be a high school senior in the fall, we scheduled a campus visit. The campus itself is nicer than I had expected. Given its urban locale, everything is a bit jammed in (which is to be expected). If you do take a formal tour, budget a good two hours.... More

We saw this church spire and head towards it only to discover that it was Georgetown University. Old stone structure with beautiful stained glass, staircases and cubbyholes. Walked around exploring without feeling like intruders. Nice stop.

Travelers visiting Georgetown (the city in the city--part of DC) should consider swing by to visit Georgetown University if time permit. It is a few blocks from busy Wisconsin Avenue and shopping area. The campus is very nice to stroll around to see old and new building blended. Certain buildings are open for public to visit especially the Gaston Hall... More

Starting at the U for historical tour. (14 presidents have spoken on the steps there.) Walk down the hill for shopping and great restaurants. (Dean and DeLuca a must) Continue on down to the Potomac for a nice walk in the park.

I enjoyed walking through this historic campus. The main building is so beautiful and the energy on the campus is palpable.

Easily accessible via the Circulator blue or yellow bus or other Metro buses, and only a 30 minute lovely walk from Dupont Circle, Georgetown university is a very highly selective university only 5 miles from the monuments and Smithsonian. Founded by Jesuits with the goal of educating all, Georgetown is a superb place to be an undergraduate. Superb smart classmates,... More
