The only presidential home open for tours in the city and a pleasant 0.6 mile walk from the Dupont Circle metro on the red line. The neighborhood is lovely, full of embassies and Dupont Circle has many restaurant choices. A good break from the Mall area and major museums if you're touring DC. We bought a Groupon for a discount.... More

President Wilson only lived here for the last 3 years of his life, but well worth a visit to see all original Wilson artifacts.

One feels like a personal guest of the President of the United States when you visit this lovely home. Our insightful guide Jeremiah made us feel welcome and weaved a delightful story of the history of the house that our 28th President retired to. The rooms are inviting and filled with historical items that our First Lady cherished. The introductory... More

Great tour of this 100-year-old house that Woodrow Wilson and his second wife moved to after his time in The White House. Jeremiah led our tour and was fantastic. He first said it would take about 45 minutes but it took close to 90 minutes because he was so detailed in every room he took us through.

Glad you had a great experience. It's nice when it's a quiet day and you can take your time; it's rare to be able to take more than 45-50 minutes at Wilson House! I'll pass your kind words on to Jeremiah. Thank you! More

We went here after visiting the Anderson House because I thought my husband would enjoy the history; he did! It is also near the Phillips museum. Definitely do the tour. You watch a short film about Wilson and then you learn more about his life and the house where he lived for a few years after his stroke. It's more... More

I had heard about this home and was actually walking towards the Phillips Collection when I found that this house was just a few blocks more up the road. I got there a few minutes after the last tour should have started for the day, but they waited for me to pay my $10 and join them. Our tour guide... More

Decided to check this out while strolling the neighborhood near our hotel. Glad we did. Yes, there is obviously a lot of information about Wilson and his family but it's such a wonderful example of a 1920's home that has been well preserved. Our docent did a great job giving us all the details of the home. Highly recommend.

If you visit DuPont Circle area and visiting the Embassy Row, add the President Woodrow Wilson House in your itinerary. According to the information by the door, this museum is the only museum of the U.S. President. To visit the whole museum, visitors need to be in the group tour operates by the Museum staff (last about one hour). However,... More

I bought two Groupons for this to use on a trip to DC with my dad. We didn't have high hopes but since this was our second trip to DC I wanted to find something more off the beaten path to do. I am SO glad we went! I honestly did not know much about Woodrow Wilson before this trip... More

Show up on the hour for the guided tour included in the fee. You can't just arrive and wonder around on your own. Very interesting history.
