This was a treat since we were walking from the Capitol to the Mall and needed a little rest. There are benches both inside and out and there are outdoor courtyards with themed plants and benches, We were pleasantly surprised by the displays and variety...More

Like the title says, if you have interest in Botany and want to capture the details apart from observing different plants species, certainly a place to go. Depending on the level of interest a good 2-3 hrs are required here. If capturing different plants then...More

If you're in the area of the Senate, Capitol or Archives I definitively recommend to take time to stop by the Botanic gardens. The greenhouses are beautiful and very well cared for and it was a lovely respite from the busy streets outside.

This is definitely one of the highlights of the National Mall. If you have 30 minutes or 3 hours, you can make a stop at the botanical gardens. It is beautiful to see all of the plants that they have in the collection.

The conservatory is a very organized and well-kept space. Everything is clearly labeled, so you know where you're going and what you're looking at. The atmosphere of the different regions is adequate; I'm from the Caribbean and felt almost suffocated by the horrid humidity on...More
