This outdoor walk through memorial is located in the SW area oft he Tidal Basin. Parking is at a minimum, so I suggest taking the DC circulator red line to get here. You can walk through the exhibit on your own or you can request...More

Walk along the basin and you enter FDR's memorial amidst the trees and fountains. It tells a story as you progress among the rocks and sculptures. A "hidden gem" is cliche, but appropriate in this case. Thanks for noting if this was helpful because I...More

Well worth a visit. We went back at night to see it with the lights on. Some lights were off and two falls were off. A little disappointed.

This was one of my favorite memorials. The story of FDR and wife Eleanor was great and the various stations to depict all of his years in office did great justice to his tenure.

This was a large monument dedicated to Roosevelt. It had sections for each of his years in office. Each area had its own waterfall and described that year. It was great to come here with a guide to explain more.

I love this memorial. I think it more beautiful at night when the light come on. Its an easy bike ride from the Jefferson, MLK, or Lincoln Memorials.
