The FDR Memorial is a great point of difference to the other memorials as it has a lot of water and garden features to it.

So, I had no idea that FDR was president four times! That says A LOT about public school education. Anyway, this memorial was so beautiful and well done, a befitting tribute to one of the US's most beloved presidents. The memorial is in four sections, each depicting a different office term. Beautiful waterfalls and floweres/trees line the memorial in each... More

This is my favorite of all of the memorials. I love the four areas symbolizing FDR's four terms, and the use of water throughout the Memorial. It seems more personal than the other memorials, with the statue of Eleanor and the one of FDR's dog Fala. Don't miss it!

half way between the Lincoln Memorial and the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, the FDR Memorial is a lovely configuration of 4 chambers for the 4 terms. The artwork and quotes work together beautifully. Take the time to make this part of your visit.

A must see memorial! One of the largest in Washington DC. A great place to go. The memorial covers all four of his terms. Well done!

Given FDR held the role as The President for much longer than any other, his memorial is long too. Our guide shared with us that each section is dedicated to each term in office. It was very well done. You can take a short walk along the water to see the MLK Memorial.

This was my first time visiting this memorial and I found it to be one of the most beautiful memorials to walk through. The water features and very pretty and it is a beautiful stroll through the history of FDR.

Haven't been to DC since the 8th grade- what a beautiful city. I recommend everyone visiting the city. My kids loved touring the memorials. We did a huge loop starting at the Jefferson Memorial to the Washington Monument. It took us about 3.5 hours. Well worth it!

This was kind of a surprise for my family. We wandered upon it when walking form the Jefferson Memorial to the Martin Luther King Memorial. We were so glad we did! It was very moving. It has four time periods of his life. It has waterfalls, sculptures, gardens and quotes. It's a beautiful walk. Be careful not to miss it... More
