We arrived just in time to join the Highlights Tour. The tour was very informative and really did feature the most prominent areas of the cathedral. Be sure to visit the gallery for 360 degree views of DC and surrounding areas.

I did not attend a service in the main part of the cathedral so do not know anything about the acoustics and the visual aspects so regret unable to help you on this.
