An impressive modern building with dining on top (terrace) level. Enjoyed a very good meal in resturant prior to watching a show (Chicago). Very sosphicated way to start the evening in elegant surroundings. Fine food and service. Afterwards took in the sunset from the wide terrace outside. Great views of the river and city. Show was of course very entertaining... More

The employees at the Kennedy Center were very professional & organized while dealing with the large amount of people. What a beautiful place to see a play!

The Kennedy Center tour should be taken bc there are many facts to be learned. Our tour guide was exceptional. She taught us about the newest flag to hang, Cuba and we learned that the state of Ohio flag is not the normal shape. The Presidential boxes are interesting to see. The different theatres are spectacular.

I love going down to the Kennedy Center for performances. The building is beautiful. In spring and summer; the terrace is lovely. The views from the upper terrace are spectacular. And there are free performances every day on the stages at either end of the main hall. We also like the Sunday brunch in the main restaurant on the upper... More

My son and I went to see the touring company of Chicago at the Opera House at the Kennedy Center. The theater was great and the complex absolutely beautiful. The performance itself was also excellent. I'm anxious to return for other events at the center on return trips to DC.

Go for the views! Didn't do the free tour but the volunteers were great! Took in an early show" Shear Madness" FUN for adults and kids. Food was very pricey.

I thought this would be a highlight of our visit to Washington but it fell pretty flat. The tour was boring to be honest with little insight beyond the origins of the artwork. There was a constant theme of "Be Quiet" "Move Along" "Do not touch" which basically turned off the children in the entire group.

Wonderful afternoon listening to the performances of the most gifted school bands and orchestras selected from around the country. This years selections were three high school bands and orchestra and one elementary school select string ensemble. Breathing performances!

Just happened to find out that there was a free performance on Millennium Stage during my stay in DC. The performance, Embrace Humanity, was phenomenal. The free performances start at 6:00. A line starts at 5:30 and seats are first come, first served (no tickets). Enjoyed the gift shops as well.
