The precision/synchronicity, professionalism, clear work ethic, pomp and circumstance of this unit will just make you burst with pride! Be sure to check the General's house's architecture if you can. Parking is a bit of a challenge but search the best locations online BEFORE you try to drive to this.

One of my most profound memories of a family vacation to DC as a kid was a visit the the Evening Parade. I remember every aspect of that experience with great clarity. With this memory etched so strongly, I wanted to share the experience with my own family 40 years later, which I did this past summer. Following the guidance... More

Went to DC to visit our son. He got us tickets to the Marine Corp Parade. This was fantastic. The Marine band, the Drum and Bugle band were they and performed. It was very moving. Ten the silent drill squad came out to perform. They are awesome. What a great thing to watch these young men and women who are... More

WOW is the only way I can describe the Marine Corps Sunset Parade at the Iwo Jima Memorial. Honor and Tradition seen at its best. The Marine Corps Band as well as the silent drill team were perfect. You can't miss the Marines marching out from behind the Iwo Jima. Just amazing! The solo bugler playing Taps at the end... More

We come every few years and this time we brought our friends who are immigrants. It was very meaningful for them as well as us. My husband is a career Marine. We love the bands, the silent drill teams and the event in general. Excellent precision and patriotic music at it's best!! There is no cost for this event and... More

What a great way to spend a couple of hours! The Marines are spectacular in the uniforms. The Marine Corp band fantastic, the precision of the choreography amazing, music brilliant! The marine platoons with their rifles so precise. Parade takes place in front of the Iwo Jima Monument, The Marines extremely hospitable, they will chat with spectators beforehand and answer... For those looking to experience a professional patriotic experience I would definitely attend. This parade is a phenomenal representation of the US Marine Corp disciplinary practices.

Go and enjoy a great band and precision marching. Bring a chair and enjoy a nice view of the monuments and the capital from across the Potomac

Excellent way to spend an evening - full of history and ceremony. Easy to get to from the Eastern Market stop of the Metro. Go early and talk with the Marines before the ceremony starts. Having a Veteran Marine in our family - made it even more memorable. The hospitality and honor that shows during the almost 2 hour event... More
