This is a true gem. It has a large inventory of planes and space displays. One of the best attractions are the flight simulators. There is a nominal fee, but the kids loved it. Lots to see.

My kids (9,10, and 11) loved this museum. There were plenty of hands on activities. Multiple school trips were also there and I didn't feel like it was over crowded. The line to get in was a little daunting but once you got in there...More

Very fun. Never seen as many different planes that I have seen to day. Wish I had more time to spend reading all the displays.

Smithsonian sometimes offer discounted/ free tickets for the first IMAX show. Otherwise, Sunday mornings aren't too crowded.
Does anyone know if there is a scooter rental company right near the mall? Not sure my husband can spend a whole day walking it. But only need it for one day to do the memorials and monuments.
