Visited the National Gallery of Art in August 2016 with my 14 year old daughter and 23 year old son. We usually stay away from "tours" but the gallery does offer several free tours throughout the day, each with a different theme and we decided...More

We took our my granddaughters, 4 and 7 years-old. The staff was gracious. The art was breathtaking. The 7 year-old learned much and her appetite for fine art may develop. The 4 year-old was reasonably behaved; but not spellbound, even by DaVinci! She will be.

We visited this museum on a Sunday morning in late October. There were no lines at all. The building is very modern and very accessible. I don't know if wheelchairs are available.
