I wanted to go back a second to see to the Air & Space Museum, but didn't want to push it with the young woman with me on the trip. But she wanted to go back! So we did. Some of the most incredible things...More

Boy, these museums are very well done. I really don't think they can be beat, they are crowded, but that is to be expected. Overall experience of a lifetime.

Went to the Zoo, Natural History, Air and Space, and American History museums. Saw the pandas, the Hope Diamond, the Spirit of St; Louis, Abe Lincoln's hat, etc,, etc. Museum displays were first-rate, but crowd staging could be better.

Not much to add to other reviewers. If you are going to Washington, you already know that the Smithsonian is a must see. We tried the restaurants in most of them and by far the American Indian was the best place to eat.

Like: Free, air-conditioned and mildly informative. Dislike: Some of the exhibitions (Butterfly room) you have to pay for before you can enter. I can understand the imax theaters but the other options just seemed like a waste of time.

The Smithsonian Institution is an amazing set of museums. I learned so much and really enjoyed seeing all of the art and science and history they have on display. Best of all, the museums are all free!

There is so much to see! Best to research ahead of time to scope out which museums you'd like to see because you'll never see them all in one trip!

You can see the entire Smithsonian Institution Building in an hour or two, in my opinion. Spend some time outside in the garden and admiring the architecture. Then see the exhibits inside. It isn't so much a museum as it is... More
