The Watergate Scandal was part of my teen years so I was excited to finally make time for a visit to the complex.

In addition to being the site of political intrigue, the complex itself is an architecture geek's dream (that would be me). Besides the splendid curves and edges, the fountain was considered state of the art for the time.

An added bonus is one of DC's oldest continuously working service stations just before the riverfront.

I was hoping to see the Democratic Party headquarters broken into by the Watergate burglars but they don’t allow it. Also, the two rooms Rene’s by the burglars. Both occupied

We came here just to have a drink and read about the history. The watergate hotel didn’t serve drinks until the evening so we found a nice cafe. We read through the watergate scandal which was interesting as we’ve never appreciated exactly what happened then.

This hotel will forever be associated with the infamous Watergate scandal that eventually lead to President Nixon's resignation. It has reinvented itself in recent years as a stylish, boutique hotel which still enjoys a great location just 10-15 minutes walk from historic Georgetown and with great views over the Potomac.

If the Scandal Room isn't booked, you can catch a tour from the very knowledgeable Bell Captain Zachariah. Meticulously researched and incredibly informative! Highly recommended.

As part of our trip to visit our nation’s capital we were taken to this place. Pretty neat to think you are standing in a place where much history happened. Planning on spending more time on our next visit so we can take more in.

Charming bar with exceptional whiskey selections. Bartender was well versed on a large variety of whiskey and had great suggestions for other cocktails. The bar had a great decor. Well worth a visit.

This curved shaped building on the Potomac is one of Washington's best places to live. It's size is impressive but it is close to the water and parks which makes it very desirable.

This is a great place to catch an uber if you're leaving the crowded Kennedy Center next door which is what brought us here, along with curiosity of seeing a place with so much history. We went in to the hotel entry which was modern and nice, plus checked out the restaurant and shops located one level down from the street. The one thing we were hoping to find, was a display of some kind regarding the infamous Watergate break in. Maybe it's there, but nobody could tell us where. But all in all, worth the short walk from the Kennedy Cetner.
