There was only 2 floors with exhibits on them, and i was just expecting something more spectacular. We spent more time in the gift shop, than the half filled museum. We could have skipped this.

You could easily spend hours in this museum if you take the time to see everything! There was even an aquarium inside. They had everything from photos of National Parks to Egyptian Mummies. It is 3 stories tall and packed with fasination artifacts.

The museums of the Smithsonian bring our countries history to life. Every phase of it. A must see but allow time. So much to see.

The museum will take 3 hours of your time. 4 hours if visiting with kids. The advice is to visit Air and space museum first (10 am) and then visit this museum on the same day. Entry is Free. Kids will love this place.

The museum of natural history has everything-geology, the Hope diamond, Neanderthals, cave replicas, under the sea exhibits- there's just so much to explore. The hundreds of teenagers there seemed to love it.
