This is very touching, regardless of weather you knew someone who lost their life serving our country in the Vietnam war. The memorial lists the names of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice serving their country. There were notes left for loved ones and there were guides who were showing guests how to make a paper and charcoal imprint of a... More

So poignant, and a symbolic memorial to remind us that war is brutal, death does not judge by colour, sex, race or religion but a reminder of the human sacrifice that serving your country is part of serving humanity. The park is open 24 hours so like most of the memorials like Lincoln memorial/Washington oberlisk it can get extremely busy at midday so if... More

We were able to take pictures of relatives names who died in the conflict. A visual illustration of the high cost of war.

A visit to the landmark with humble you. It is so overwhelmingly emotional and touching. It is a lot to take in and grasp but such a fitting tribute. God Bless America.

This was my second time visiting the Vietnam Memorial, and it is just as moving as the first time I saw it 25 years ago. People were respectful during our visit, and there are people to help find names on the long wall. It is organized by year, but those looking for a specific name can be guided by the... More

Apparently we missed a few things around this memorial. There is more to see than may immediately meet the eye. This is located between the Washington and Lincoln monuments.

Seeing the mementos left by friends and family members, and the occasional teary-eyed veteran help you understand how moving this monument is to the many people who lost a loved one in the Vietnam War.

Like most of the memorials here, this one really needs to be visited in person to appreciate. We were following a DC monuments app which had interesting info about the architect and her inspiration. Very moving any time of year.

There is no way you cannot be affected by seeing 58,000+ names of the fallen US soldiers inscribed on that wall. This is a must sere memorial. Start at the Washington Monument end, not the Lincoln Memorial end. There is a book which lists the names alphabetically, they are listed chronologically on the wall. The path along the wall is... Was able to tour the memorial at night. Lot of people, even at 8 pm. Also toured during the day, so many guys on the wall.
