Another must see!!

A great example of the old style theatres and very interesting historically - sitting in the seats in the auditorium one could almost sense the atmosphere when Lincoln was shot!!

An extremely informative visit. There is a real atmosphere at this theatre and it has been restored perfectly. The volunteer presenter was excellent with her costume and information regarding the unfortunate event of the assassination of Lincoln. Her presentation made us feel like we were actually there. Well done

An interesting presentation of Lincoln's life and death, particularly in the basement area. The theater is still in active use and thus somewhat dilutes the aura of the assassination site.

You'll learn so much - not only about the moment of assassination itself, but about Lincoln's family response afterward, and John Wilkes Booth planning ahead of time and attempted escape. Recommended for singles, for couples, and for families with children ages 9 and up.

Nice theater. Lots of history. Love the museum inside... like taking another bootcamp history class. In Washington D.C., it is all about the history!!! The location is right across from Old Town Trolley Tour welcome center. Perfect to visit the theater before you jump on the trolley for the tour.

A must see in Washington. It gave me the chills to see and hear in greater details the events of Lincoln's assassination. So many details not written in the history books are there on display. And the shear number of books written about Lincoln is astounding.

Absolutely must do on your next trip. Would highly recommend the audio tour for only $5 otherwise you will still get a tremendous experience with your free admission. Very well laid out with everything imaginable that you could want to see pertaining to this Presidents life

An absolute must if you are in DC. The displays not only cover Lincoln's assassination but his arrival into Washington in 1860 and the Civil War. The displays are wee laid out. So moving to see the actual box in the theatre where he was shot.

My wife and I visited here and found it be worth the visit. We learned much more about the plot to assassinate President Lincoln and all the various people involved who helped make it happen. We got to see up close the actual theatre booth where he was assassinated. I highly recommend you check this out.
