This is my favorite memorial, although all are terrific. I like this one because it is built in a way as to make one awestruck upon entering. I watched my wife react to each memorial as we visited them, and her reaction was, by far,...More

One of the nice things is this memorial is on the other side of the tidal pool so is somewhat quieter and less busy. Beautiful memorial with famous sayings. There is parking available but it is a bit of a walk to the memorial.

Of course the memorial has beautiful architecture and scenic views. I was particularly interested in the quotes in the memorial proper and the museum downstairs, which really make you think about the relationship between education, government, and a free society. Fully wheelchair accessible.

This site is very memorable to my wife and myself as we would often visit it while in college and this is where we were engaged. The site includes many meaningful quotes from Thomas Jefferson and is a must see.
