Take the time to visit this memorial and most importantly go inside and take in the words written on the walls. Hope looms in this room when you read Jefferson's words and take the words into context of today's United States.

This is where the solemnity of a memorial is understood. There are less tourists giving plenty of time to enjoy the place. The quotes tell you about the greatness of the man all the more relevant at present climate of hate.

The best shot is probably from along the tidal basin pathway.
