Like all memorials in Washington this is huge. The park it's situated in is faces the basin and the walk way to it runs along the tidal waterway. A long walk but worth the effort.

This is a beautiful monument, and like the Lincoln Memorial, you have to be there in person to appreciate the size. It is a little out of the way, but worth it to check off your list

This round classical temple is visible across the tidal basin from many parts of Washington DC. Although it is a fairly long walk, the path along the basin is pleasant and even more beautiful in the spring with all the cherry blossoms on the trees...More

Well presented exhibition in the building - very popular attraction. Good views from the Memorial as well as good photo opportunities inside.

The position of this monument is special. It's nice to see it from many angles, for example, looking out across the water from the Martin Luther King Monument.

An incredible work of Art! Outstanding location remembering Thomas Jefferson. Among the many items to see are Jefferson's beautiful statue, as well as the inscriptions on the walls of the Memorial.

Any time, day or night, this is the most impressive monument in Washington. It is especially stunning during cherry blossom season. Unfortunately the parking lot has been closed for many years. It is the walk.

The best shot is probably from along the tidal basin pathway.
