The Reflecting pool is the iconic pool that we have all seen on tv for years. It was so exciting to see in person. This lies between the Lincoln memorial and the Washington monument. All the monuments are fairly close together. You can do half of them one day before the museums open and then do another chunk after museums... More

This is the first thing you will want to mark off your list. It is surreal to see it in person after seeing on television for so many years. This is the first of several grand scale monuments that are a must see. Lincoln monument. Washington mon. Jefferson mon. Vietnam. Ww2. Fdr. Mlk. Look over the mall and the Washington... More

We walked from the white house through the beautiful constitution gardens to reach the memorial. Walked past the vietnam war memorial, to get the first glimpse of the structure. At first look it does not impress you much. As you walk closer and closer, the view gets better and better. The view of the national mall from the steps in... More

The Lincoln memorial is a magnificent monument to a monumental politician and leader of a nation through it's most turbulent and challenging period of history. The Gettysburg address and his second Presidential inauguration speech are etched into the walls and the sentiments expressed are inspirational beyond compare with anyone other than JFK's inauguration speech one can read at Arlington Cemetery... Saw this at night, and we are glad we did. You can see the Washington memorial over the pool. Everyone was early quiet and reflective, it was a great and powerful experience.

The memorial, along with everything in the mall, was really breathtaking. However as a visitor from the land of Lincoln, I was embarrassed with this filthy bathroom.

Made just a tour of the outside and grand hall, which are impressive enough. View is great, both over the reflecting pool as well as towards Arlington.

All the memorials a wonderful...even better as the sun goes down. The distances are greater than you think and the metro is not near...

I lived in DC and visited the Lincoln Memorial many times. However, whenever I am back in town, I still always want to visit the Memorial. I have been there during all times of the day, and each have their positives. For me, my favorite time to visit is late at night. There are fewer tourists, and one can enjoy... More

One of my favorite things to visit. I loved reading the quotes on the each of the internal walls. It gets very crowded inside, just in front of Lincoln but there was plenty of room in each adjacent rooms to rest and read the engravings. Make sure you keep an eye on your kiddos as it can get very congested.
