I recommend visiting all the monuments and memorials at night. The lights on Lincoln's Memorial highlight the enormous scale and set the mode for a peaceful evening.

Beautiful at night time. Although, Definitely worth a trip to see day or night when visiting D.C. Great with kids but also love walking around with husband at night ( romantic).
