This is one of the most beautiful monuments there is. Great location at the end of the mall on a hill. Wonderful view from the top. Great sculpture by Daniel Chester French. I can't imagine visiting DC without stopping here

Well worth visiting again and the crowds in October are not bad all. Being alone and able to take time to savor the experience and read his speeches was very enjoyable as I am always surrounded by family and friends.

The Lincoln Memorial is amazing. The statue of the former president is imposing as well as the whole place. It is a nice start point to the national mall.

you can park on any streets around the memorial area, regular street parking, but read the signs, they can get quite confusing.
