This is a beautiful destination for either a day hike or an overnight camping trip. It is a .7 mile hike from the trailhead to the beach, then you climb over 20' - 30' of driftwood to access the sandy shores of the ocean. You...More

Second Beach was beautiful. A much prettier beach than First Beach. The views of the ocean are breathtaking. The trail to the beach is about 3/4 of a mile, pretty easy to navigate, but is a steep decline as you get closer to the beach....More

It was our first time camping at the beaches in the Olympic peninsula & we chose Second Beach. It seemed pretty (from pictures) plus the trail to the beach is an easy 0.7 mile walk down a hill. We stopped by the wilderness information center...More

Second Beach is incredible. It is best to time your visit to about an hour before low tide so that you have close access to the tidal pools and some of the sea stacks. The scenery is truly amazing and the photo opportunities are unlimited....More

A refreshing hike through the forest, down several steps and then … wow! A breathtaking beach appears full of sea stacks, a myriad of driftwood and bountiful sea life. Not at all what we imagined and we were all in awe of this spectacular beach....More

I've gone to many, many NPs over the years and the tendency for my breath to be taken away has waned over the years but this did it, hands down. I didn't want to leave!!! Just down right wild and beautiful!!! Will be coming back!!!

First of all we are from Florida so beach is not supposed to be an exciting topic for us but the beaches in Olympic Park are! They are different from the east coast, with giant rocks in the water and dead trees in the beach....More

I was so excited to finally hike this trail. I had heard wonderful things and wanted to on an earlier trip but didn't get to. Well it was SO worth the wait. An enchanting and other worldly trail through the lush forest that ended on...More
